Check the distributor module it could be blown if there is no spark from the plug wires or check the pick up coil inside the distributor it could also be burnt.

I have a 2000 mazda mpv van and my check engine light is on. code po106 but i have allready change the map sensor. what else could be wrong

p0106 is barometric sensor code and is caused by a faulty egr boost sensor, egr boost sensor solinoid, or faulty vaccume line to either devise and last a bad pcm. check vaccume lines first then components, also there is a small filter on egr vac sol make sure its clean

How do you replace the EGR valve on a 2000 Mazda MPV?

if you are lockey to have one it is on the intake manifold two bolts or three depending on the engine and some have a tube / and eather vaccum or electric wires attached // if you don't have an egr try changing your o2 sensors ( some manufactures use the o2 sensors as the up & down stream and have removed the egr valve

1997 ford f150 just had egr valve replaced.. engine is hesitant and check engine light is on with error code 401.. whats the prob?

Everyone says to test out your DPFE sensor. This controls the flow of the egr. When the codes pull up, everyone thinks its the egr, but really its this little guy.
Take it by a shop and see if they can mess with the bugger. They usually run about $50+.

I got the code p0400 1. blocked passage on EGR sustem 2. failed EGR valve

first take the egr valve off then get some carb cleaner spray it into the egr valve ports let sit 30-60min then take a small flat head clean any carbon left over in it. then check the vaccume lines to it they to might be plugged you can take a small wire or push pin and stick it in the ports to unplug it.

Vaccum lines

There is a diagram for that system under the hood above the radiator, the 2 lines go to 2 exhaust tubes, one is pressure and one is reference, the hose size is different so you can't get them mixed up, the EGR "box" is the EGR pressure transducer and the signal from that controls the EGR through the Power Train Control Module AKA the PCM. You have to use special
Hi-temperature silicone rubber hoses from the Ford dealer, ordinary rubber hose will just burn up in short order, they are around $15-20
