Why crankshaft pulley come loose ?

check the bolt holes and bolts to inspect for damaged threads and repair or replace as needed. if this is good you may need to add Loctite to the threads of the bolts. use blue Loctite as this will allow removal later on if you need to remove the bolts.

How do I remove Damper Bolt to remove Damper?

First soak it well with WD-40 or Liquid wrech, let it sit for a while, then try tightening it more with the impact wrench, then try removing again that will sometimes break the rust loose from around the bolt and it will let go. If that doesn't work try using a piece of 2x4 etc and have someone wedge it by prying up on it while you sue a breaker bar with a long pipe for leverage on the end to crack it loose. Once loose use the gun again.

How to replace supercharger clutch pulley

The bolt is reverse threaded most likely and if the belt is on leave it on while you break the bolt loose. Once it is broken loose remove the belt then unthread the bolt the rest of the way and replace installation is the reverse of removal.

Have a 2002 RX300 that needs the Alt. belt replaced. Bolts a real pain to get to. Have them (3) loose. Do any need to come out or just loose? Thank you

You are only supposed to losen then. Here are some good instruction with layout that might be of help:

REMOVAL:

  1. Loosen the pivot bolt and adjusting lock bolt. Torque: Pivot bolt: 38 foot pounds. Adjusting lock bolt: 13 foot pounds.
  2. Loosen the drive belt tension by adjusting bolt and remove the drive belt

INSTALLATION:

  1. Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

To remove the P/S belt, remove the right fender apron. Then loosen the pivot and adjusting bolts, swing the P/S pump towards the engine and remove the P/S belt.

I have a 2003 volkswagen jetta. i need to remove the glass on the front drivers side and front passenger side doors and replace it with new glass.after i remove the door panel how do i do this?

The panels have 3 t20 torx screws on the bottom and one philips head near the mirror. Under pull handles there are 3 philips on the drivers and 2 philips on the passengers sides. Pull the panels from the bottom and lift the panels up. There are 2 black rubber plugs in each door, pop each plug out and the glass is held in place to the clips on each side with either a 10 mm bolt or t30 torx bolt. Move the glass to the point where you can see the bolts, loosen, but don't remove the bolts. Once loose, you can pull the glass loose. Once loose, lower the window a bit, angle the rear of the glass up and pull it out. The glass may be epoxied in place, as VW had a problem with windows coming loose. If so, try to pop the rubber in the clamp loose (above the bolts you see through the holes) and reinstall it with the window removed.

How do you change a water pump?

1)Drain the coolant:
2)Remove the shroud: 7-10 mm bolts
3)Remove the fan and clutch: There is no need to separate the fan from the clutch. The whole thing threads on to the end of the water pump. I don't know the size, because rather than break out all my wrenches, I just grabbed an 18 inch crescent wrench. Place the wrench on the nut and tap loose with a hammer. the tapping will break it loose. You have to tap it, if you just try to loosen it, the belt won't hold it and the whole thing will turn. After it breaks loose just spin it off.
4)Break loose the bolts holding the pulley on: 4- 13 mm or 1/2" bolts Just break them loose, don't remove them
5) Remove the serpentine belt
6) Remove the pulley: Finish removing the bolts holding the pulley and remove the pulley
7) Disconnect the hoses
8) Remove the old pump: 4-14 mm or 9/16" bolts
9) Clean the surface: Remove all traces of the old gasket.
10) Install new pump: Apply a bead of blue permatex around the holes on both sides of the gaskets, put them on the pump and insert the bolts through the holes to hold the gaskets in place. Carefully lower the pump in to position. Thread the bolts into the block and snug them. Then remove the bolts one at a time, add the permatex to the threads, and then reinsert. (only do one at a time so that the pump doesn't shift and disturb the mating surfaces) Then tighten all the bolts.
11) Reinstall everything in reverse.
There will be a lot of air trapped in the system, so after you fill it, get the engine to operating temperature, shut it off, let it cool, then add more. The air trapped in the system can cause your engine to over heat if left unattended. I suggest filling the system with water only and run it like that for a day or two just to make sure there are no leaks. That way you don't waste your antifreeze if you have to do further repairs.
Good luck and hope this helps.
