WD-40 is a good cleaner /moisturizing spray for your belt. Don't use belt dressing.

Serpentine belt squeaks

try some belt dressing if that does not fix the problem then you will need to get another belt take it back to o riely and get a new belt or your money back then go to the other parts store and purchase another belt. Remember you get what you pay for. there might be other problems like the altenator or tensioners or a/c compressor might be draging

I replaced the altenator and the serpentine belt two weeks ago. Now i hear a squeaking noise. I tried a spray for the belt but the noise is still there.

Check your tensioner pulley -- if you do not have enough tension on the serpentine belt, it will slip on the pulleys and cause a squeaking noise (very loud and high pitched). if you push on the serpentine belt with your hand, it should not more more than about an inch -- if it does, you are low on tension. If it does not have any give at all, then you have too much tension, and one of your pulleys might not be turning properly, causing that same noise. If your tension is right, and your car is still making that noise ... and belt dressings (the spray you probably used) are not working to stop it, then it might be a piece of rubber stuck on one of the pulleys, but this usually will not make that sound ... just smoke and a burned rubber smell.

Is there any product that stops the squeak of my belt?

autozone sells some stuff called belt dressing that will take care of squeling belts. but make sure its a belt at fault, and not pully sticking on a part, for example power steering pump, altenator ,water pump etc...

check the altenator. Jump the car. Disconnect the batery terminals. If the car stays running, its not the alt. If it dies, it is

I replaced my altenator a week ago. Now my power

There are several possibilities.
1. power steering pump locked up or locking up (extremely low fluid could cause this)
2. a random pully could have locked up and caused the belt to break, resulting in a loss of power steering.

Hope this helps

Belt squeaking causing motor to die on a 2002 ford mustang v-6

I would bet that there is a pully on one of the accessories that is about to stop turning. I would remove the belt and make sure that all of the acc. turn with out to much effort. I.E. altnator the tenstioner, as well as the a/c and idler pullys.

Squeaking... pully maybe?

the ac belt is sperate from the power steering belt.. sounds to me you need to replace the belts (both of them) but theres a idler pully in the middle of them all witch may have a bearing going out on it..i had to change mine at about 85,000.. when i had the belts off i spun the pully and it was excessivly stiff cause'n slipage and also a squel.. hope its not the alt, or water pump making the noise..they can run ya into some $$
