Was the electrical connector plugged in when the sensor was replaced? Check that first.

ABS light stays on

Whenever the ABS warning light comes on in the instrument cluster and it stays on it means the systems electronic control module (computer) has detected a problem in one or more of the inputs to the module, an ABS fault code is present as long as the ABS light is on. So what must be done to correct this? You must have the ABS electronic control module scanned with a special tool to read the fault code, then a trained technicain will diagnose and repair the defective part or wiring. Most times this is a wheel speed sensor (one for each wheel) that gives an erratic signal. While the light is on all you have is regular non-ABS brakes.

97 Buick Lasaber. My ABS light is on and it shows the problem is at the driver side front wheel. How do I fix myself? And a diagram of what I'm looking for.

the ABS sensor is built into the bearing hub.
you have to take the axle nut off, unplug the sensor
and then unbolt the bearing hub and replace with a new one

Why is my abs light on in my 03 chevy? and on the passanger side the front tire is roaring really bad when i drive, please help

Ok, there are sensors on your front wheel hubs. This could easily cause the abs light to turn on. The loud noise could easily be your wheel hub going bad. Easiest way to check, jack up the front of the truck, grab tire, shake back and forth and up and down. Same amout of play each way? You're wheel hub is bad.......

Abs light stays on funny noise in front driver side wheel

You can have a scanner read the abs code, more than likely if you have a growling or humming noise in the Left front then a wheel bearing is bad. the abs in these trucks has the front speed sensors bolted into the wheel bearings, if the bearing gets bad it will sometimes cause the light to come on due to things like broken or "shifting" tone ring, lifted sensor (air gap) due to corrosion, etc... buying an aftermarket bearing comes with a sensor already installed and so normally will fix the problem (if the scanner says that the same sensor is causing the fault of course). check the bearing by jacking up the side of the vehicle you suspect, use a jack stand to support the truck from dropping accidentally, grab the wheel on top and bottom, one hand on each, then rock the wheel to check for play, there should be none, play could indicate a faulty bearing, or some other component. now check for roughness and noise in the bearing by placing one hand on the spring, either coil spring or torsion bar, and spin the wheel by hand, if the bearing is bad you will feel a vibration coming through the spring, you may also hear the "roar" or "hum" of the bearing when it is spinning. This will tell you if the bearing is actually at fault. if you are not comfortable doing this yourself bring it to a qualified mechanic and have them check for you, also a scanner to check the code should be done also to ensure more then one problem does not exist. hope this will help you. cheers

TCL and Anti Lock brake light come on when sitting over night and when I drive it for a short distance the and shut the engine off and restart most of the time they stay off. This has been happening ever...

Interesting problem, especially since its been happening since the car was new. Researching this I found one suggestion that a front wheel bearing is in backwards, and this causes the ABS wheel sensor to read incorrectly until the TCL/ABS computers calibrate themselves.

This is an odd suggestion, as the wheel bearing and hub are an integral assembly. A part photo shows a "normal" looking bearing that only fits one way. A bearing installation problem is not impossible however. There could be dirt/road debris on the sensor, the sensor could be slightly misplaced, or faulty. The TCL/ABS computers read the signals from the wheel sensors, and has diagnostic outputs, which should include indications of poor or missing data streams from all four wheel sensors.

This is the first step to finding a solution. If the TCL/ABS computers are reporting errors from one wheel, then that wheel has to be disassembled to see what's the cause.

You can do it yourself just take your time:
To change front wheel bearing.

4. take rotor off
5. unbolt axle shaft nut at bearing hub
6. use a 3 lb slug with a block of wood

8. back side 3 10mm bolts unbolt
9. front side have to pry off bearing hub Assembly only beacuse has dirt in knuckle hole.

ABS light stays on

have you had abs system checked with a scan tool?if you cannot communicate with abs module with a scanner, there is main power feed circuit that corrodes under fuse block underhood..also have seen corroded wires near abs module over top of transmission..if you have may have a speed sensor fault..if a front sensor, check wiring behind splash shields in fenderwells,if rear sensor fault, most likely sensor is defective..also check for water intrusion into rear wheel bearings by removing sensor from hub unit
