Question about 2005 BMW X5
Hey man, your proble is intermidiate levers. Depending on the milage of your car U may need to replace the rockers and lifters and eccentric shafts. It is a big and very pricy job. Done many of those. You R looking at about $5000 bill at the dealership. If U go to an aftermarket shop it will be cheaper but make sure they know what they r doing. Sounds like your guy does not. Anyway, special tools are needed because u need to retime the engine after repair. Hope this helps and sorry to ruin your day. Take care.
