If there seems to be a lot of pressure in the cooling system and the coolant blows out the recovery jug, then you may have a head gasket cracked, otherwise run it with the radiator cap on 1/2 way so as not to lose the cap,but to relieve any pressure, but if you think its a head gasket get it repaired before the antifreeze gets past the head and into the oil and destroy the bearings and possibly the engine itself

Location of maf on a 460 ford motor

Depending on the year of this vehicle, will determine whether it has one. No matter, the MAF sensor is located on the air tube going into the motor. 3 or 4 wire unit in the air flow path to the motor. Earlier models may only have a MAP sensor. (Manifold air pressure) this sits in the intake. Goggle a picture of it and look for it. Part expensive, so you want to prove its not working before replacing.

So in regards to my 1988 Ford F250 truck 460 auto, dual tanks, no power to rear fuel pumps, replacing the ecm might be a waste of time and money?

You are correct plus the cost of a fuel pump for a Ford is
very high and a pain to replace. I have removed my bed liner and cut a hole into the bed over the tank to get to the pump, if you do decide to cut a hole, only cut 3 sides and bend it over so you can bend it back in place after changing the bad fuel pump. Good luck hope this
helps.

2000 taures se loosing coolent and running hot

Where is it losing the coolant from? If it is from a hose replace them. If it is from the radiator, replace it! If it is coming out of the top of the radiator overflow reservoir then it could be either the thermostat not opening when it should or a water pump not circulating the water as it should.

usaully a hole near the shaft of a water pump is a weep hole and if water or antifreeze is coming out, your water pump seal is bad and pump needs replaced.

My 1982 ford f150 is leaking from the water pump over flow why and what to do to stop this. the fluid is also a brown color.

If you are referring to the weep hole in the bushing that the shaft comes through, this is the primary failure mode for water pumps. Once the packing comes loose in the bushing, the pump must be replaced. If this is not what you were talking about, please reply.

Ford 460 loses power then dies. Starts back up. Idles fine.

It sounds like you might have a clogged catalatic converter on the exhaust system.

It could be either the radator or the timeing is too far advanced. Did you put a 50/50 mixture of antifreeze? To much antifreeze vers water will also cause overheating. Non Exhaust.

the water pump is behing a metal plate that you you would have to take off in order to look at it. if you have the 3.5 motor and are losing water then thats where it wil most likely be coming from,
