Find the big blue wire that runs through the firewall via connector......make sure it has battery voltage. Mine had same symptoms and my fuse link was toast

Sounds like fusible link. It's a thick (thicker than normal) wire coming from battery to junction block on firewall. They burn through and/or break down internally - you can replace it with an inline 30amp fuse & holder.

I was driving my 87 Dodge w150 225cid slant six when it stopped running (as if the key was turned off). Will not start. No spark from coil wire, no voltage positive post of coil when cranking. Replaced...

if you are not getting any fire from the coil check the ignition resistor mounted on fire wall. you can have someone to turn key over to start and u can take test light and check both sides of resistor . if no fire on side going to coil (replace it). hope this will help!!!!

Engine will not start. Coil is firing when

If coil is good and plugs are not - there's your problem. You can't have output of coil be good and plugs not work right. Something inbetween is wrong.

I need a firing order diagram for a 1986 Dodge Pick up truck. Its a slant 6 engine.

Wow, I had no idea that these engines were used up till 1987 in US trucks. The firing order is 1-4-2-6-3-5

Check out this site http://www.allpar.com/slant6.html

It shows the diagram and more.

I hope this helps.
