SOURCE: oil pan gasket leaks 02 neon

This is not an question that can answered in this forum...it's too involved and takes mechanical skills. I know these cars have always had oil leaks, and was a constant problem. Take it to a good tech for inspection or repair.

Our 2004 Isuzu Rodeo has developed a coolant leak. The leak appears to be around or above a little panel or plate immediately behind the oil pan? Cannot find any other source. What is inside the littl

You will have to clarify behind the oil pan. Front of engine towards fan. Rear of engine transmission side. Or above the pan towards engine side. If there is coolant leaking from behind the engine (between the engine and trans) and is not running down from above eg head gasket or hose connection, chances are good that there is a frost plug leaking on the rear of the block.

Is there a certain type of gasket or something else when there is a oil leak starting in a 1998 pontiac firefly

clean around the oil pan gasket area well as some oil leaks are actually rocker cover gasket and filter leaks that run down the block and appear as pan leaks.. Check front crankshaft seal as the oil from there also appears as a pan leak

Where is oil leaking from just above oil pan and around timing belt cover?

Rear engine seal is probably where it is coming from. The other thing to check is the seals you replaced. If they were over or under tightened they can still leak from there.

My 2004 ford freestar runs well but is leaking about a quart of oil a week almost

If it's leaking from inside the engine then it would be coming from the valve cover. The cover gasket seal is no longer sealing properly. If oil is leaking down under the car then check around the oil pan, could be gasket or rear main oil seal or front oil seal.

Oil leak on an 1985 ford laser

Usually this indicates the the rear seal on the motor is bad. Bad news is that if this is what it is you will have to remove transmission to fix it. Before all that check top of motor around the valve pan cover. Alot of times oil will leak down from here. Best advice i could give you is to have a mechanic look at it. They know what to look for,but it does sound like the rear seal has went bad.....if this post helps please leave a rating and thank you

Are you sure its the oil pan most leaks come from the valve cover gaskets up above. check the corners of the valve covers. If the pan needs re-sealed you will have to remove the flex pipe.
