SOURCE: moisture in distributor in 2000 chevy silverado

In one word...WD-40. You don't even need to remove the cap. just spray the cap and plug wires to displace the moisture. It sounds odd, but I've tried it, and it works. I had a cracked cap that kept my wife's Honda Civic from starting when it was rainy, foggy, or even humid. Until I got around to putting a new cap on the car (I'm away from home for periods for work), she kept a can in the car.

SOURCE: I have a 2008 Nissan

P2135 and P2138 relate to the rationality of the redundant throttle position sensors or the accelerator pedal position sensors. If the relative voltages of the sensors do not match throughout the range of movement, a code will set. This will generally keep throttle control below 1800 rpm. You want to keep the dealer out of this issue, however unfortunately, the dealer has more advanced diagnostics that can pinpoint which sensor is causing the code set. Some, more progressive, repair shops also have better diagnostics than say the standard OBD II, which will not throughly diagnose. You will need to determine which of these sensors is casuhing the code set in order to effect repair. Good Luck! I hope you find this to be very helpful!

SOURCE: MY 04 CHEVY TRAILBLZER HAS CODES P0526 P0141 P2135

Four seemingly unrelated fault codes;
P0526 - fan speed error
P0141 - downstream O2 sensor lean condition
P2135 - Throttle position sensor fault
P2138 - Accelerator position fault

You need to have a qualified technician diagnose this with a highend scan tool, maybe there is a possibility that a reference voltage is off spec.

The automotive trouble code P2138 throttle/pedal position sensor/switch D/E voltage correlation refers to a problem related to the throttle's ability to open and close properly. Replace (suggest) the sensor (black object) on the throttle body.

I have a 2010 Chevy impala. Reduced engine power and check engine light also comes on but won't stay on. Codes are P2138 P2122 P0455

Hi Rosalee_IM,
The codes your vehicle is storing are for low voltage from your accelerator pedal position sensor and a gross evaporative emission leak. The code P2122 and P2138 are directing you to test the accelerator pedal position circuit and/ or sensor. This is the cause of the reduced power concern you are feeling.The P0455 is telling you there is a large leak in the evaporative emission system. The most common cause for this code is a loose or incorrectly installed gas cap.I hope this helps clarify the concerns you are experiencing. If you'd like more information on how to trouble shoot the problems,drop me a line. Please include the model Impala you have,(LS,LT or LTZ) and the engine size. I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible.Thanks, Chuck

Same 3 codes , p0455, p0442, & p2138 on my 2009 Chevy Impala and brought the car to a General Motor or Buick Dealer Service Department to replace vent solenoid or solenoid fuel tank evaporator control . Also replaced gas pedal position sensor.
