Question about 1994 Mitsubishi Eclipse
If the bearings or even one bearing has spun, the lower end of the motor needs new bearings and the crankshaft must be "turned" or resurfaced.. this requires pulling the engine... if you drive this vehicle in this condition, you will have catastropihic engine failure which would totally destroy the motor probably.. If you or someone has the expertise to remove the motor, putting in a "crank kit" is not difficult for anyone with a little mechanic experience.. but, basically, this is time to rebuild the motor whether you just do the crank kit or go ahead and go all the way with it since you already have it out and opened up...
