You should be able to disable the alarm by putting the key in the door and turning it, or by putting it in the igintion switch and turning it. One of the two should disarm the alarm. If that will not work, then you could disconnect the battery, call the dealer and get a key fob for the alarm system.

Remote start works but shuts off right away

When you say right away....it is as soon as the vehicle starts....or is it 10-15-30 seconds later? Is this a factory remote start? If not, and you installed an aftermarket one, what is probably occurring is that your factory anti-theft system is seeing the vehicle running without the key in the ignition and activates the immobilizer which shuts down the vehicle. Aftermarket remote starts require adapter electronics to bypass the immobilizer until the operator enters the vehicle and inserts the key. This is why most aftermarket alarm systems are installed by trained pros.

1997 jeep grand cherokee won't start after alarm went off

I just had the same prblem. Reconnect your alarm first of all. You need to use your key bob "remote" to deactivate the alarm before starting. It is a feature "good one" i might add that should someone try to steal it the jeep will not start until u deactivate it w theke bob.

Where is rollover switch on 1991 240 volvo station wagon

I don't think there is a rollover switch on a '91 wagon.
The ECU supplies ground to the fuel pump relay for only about a second and a half if there is no ignition pulse. This is what shuts off the fuel pump in the event of an accident. The transistor in the ECU that provides this ground signal fails after a couple of decades. Repairing it is not a do-it-yourself operation but there are rebuilt ECUs available from multiple sources. Be sure to get an ECU that is compatible with your vehicle configuration.

Someone stole my 1992 volvo 960 station wagon. they stole everything in it including the owner's manual. i got it back but someone still has the extra key. i need to know where the fuses are and the...

Instead of the fuses you should try the relays. Fuses are commonplace and easy to just take a fuse from something not needed and slide it into the ignition slot and the car will start. You would have to remove all the fuses and then place them all in and it would be frustrating at best. Fuses are also pretty easy to come by. What I used to do until I had an alarm professionally installed was to go under the hood and find the car's relays which are basically self resetting fuses. Under the relay cover should be a diagram of which relay goes where but not that it really matters because generally the relays should be uniform. Just remove them and shut the hood. Once the starter relay is removed the vehicle will not start or even turn over for that matter. Unless this dude has a tow truck or incredibly strong arms and a lot of patience the car will not move. Plus it only takes a minute once you get the hang of it. Pop the hood remove all relays shut the hood and be on your way. Then when your ready to start the vehicle just put all of them back in. Another possible solution is to change the locks but that option isn't free. Either way though its up to you. I hope this helps....

The engine shutting down is probably a bad VSS(vehical speed sensor). The electrical problems are most likely due to loose wires and bad grounds. Clean and tighten all conections starting with the battery cables and the ground wires under the hood and under the dash. You have to find a mechanic who specializes in Volvos or you'll lose your shirt in trouble shooting and repairs.
