Check the mass air flow sensor and give it a good cleaning with air flow sensor cleaner ONLY. If it is bad or dirty, it will send a no start signal to the ECU (computer).

Is the fuel pump working? Have someone crank for you and bang on bottom of fuel tank. If it starts replace pump if not check pump relay for power in and out

Most common problem when this happens is the ignition module, complete distributors are available at low cost because of this common problem.Do you have spark?

Cant get no fire/replaced distributor /cap and roter replaced crank sensor and coil put wires and plugs { and still cant get fire to distributor} 1996 gmc/1500 5.7liter

if i understand u correctly u replaced the distributor and cap if so i would start with making sure my pick up coil was installed correctlyand or replace it.i also would look at the possibility of it being a powertrain control module or neutral safety switch if this vehicle is equipt with one. hope ive been helpful

I cannot get a spark to start my 1987 toyota pickup. I've replaced the distributer cap, roter, and egnition coil, but still no luck. Any suggestions?

Do you have 12 volts at the ignition coil? Is the return ground OK? I would also check your fuses. If all are good, you may have a problem with the sensor in the distributer.

NO SPARK PUT A NEW COIL ON DID NOT FIX TOOK IT TO A GSRAGE SAID IT NEEDED A CRANK SENSOR CAM SENSOR WIRES PLUGS DIST CAP AND ROTER RAN ONE DAY NOW THEY SAID A HOLE DISTRIBUTER AND A TIMEING BELT.I REALLY...

If you are sure they said, a distributer cap a roter and a distributer, there is a problem! Because on a 1998
plymouth, there is no distributer or cap or roter.
Your cam sensor along with the crank sensor-temp sensor and a few other sensors, send a signal to the
powertrain control module, that sends a signal to the
coil pack(that you said was replaced) that fires the
spark plug. I would hold off from having any further
work done there, until you can check out what they
say they have already done. Ask if you can have the
old parts they replaced so far. You will want to have
an OBDII scan test done, to see what codes come up. It should have one of the first tests they did.
If I have read your post correctly, have them write an
estimate for what they will replace next. This info. is
based on the car being a 1998 plymouth and not a
1988 I would not wan't to acuse somone of anything
based on a typo. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Removed computer replaced with hei distributer, still no fire to plugs

Make sure your distributor has power when the key is turned on. It is the kind with the coil in the cap right? If the car is fuel injected, you will still need the computer though, or switch to a carburated set up.
