If you cant find it, its probably inside the gas tank.. the tank will have to be dropped to get to the pump from the topside unless youre lucky and there is an access panel on the floorboard, inside, over the tank where you can open it up and access the top of the tank where the pump is located inside

My 89 jeep cherokee won't. Start it will turn over

what motor? is the coil producing spark?? If so, check the fuel pressure, if the fuel pressure is low drop the tank, repace the pump and also replace the filter (located on the frame forward of the tank). If the coil is not producing spark, check for shorts or opens in the circuits as well as the IGN fuses. If there is NO fuel pressure at all check the fuel pump fuses and make sure the fuel pump is plugged in and there are no opens in the circuit

1990 jeep cherokee keeps burning out the fuel pump, replaced 1st fuel pump due to no fuel pressure, replaced 2nd fuel pump due to wires on the pump blistered and not working after 4 days of use.

I had a problem with a 1990 once that was strange like that. Went through 4 pumps before finally figuring out that the baffle inside the tank had come free and was knocking the pump around causing it to short. Inside that metal tank isa baffle set up to reduce the splashing around and movement of the gas at teh pump. If it comes free it will knock up against the pump and short it out. When you pull the pump out use a wire to reach around inside the tank and see if you can find a part moving around freely, if you do the only choice if to replace the tank. There is no way to weld that back or reattach it safely, J-B weld won't work and obviously welding is not an option.

00 jeep grand cherokee fuel pump is not getting no fire. checked the fuse breakers even changed the computer. still no fire to the pump

When you state "checked the fuse breakers" did you check for power at the fuse block. Start checking power from the fuse box, then check for power at the end that plugs into your fuel pump. The switch will have to be on for the power to be present. My main concern is, if the fuel pump went out. But it's easier to check for the power first. If you're getting power from all sources, then the fuel pump has went out most likely.

Tp fuel pumps from same year different wireing

What you brought is an tank and unit from 1995 JGC. from 1993 till 1995 they have the same fuel pump. 96'er Jeeps start with OBD - Systems and they have other fuel pumps. You can't change the plug ins, because you may have other fuel filter in your Granny. Check filter and fuel lines if they fit with the unit you brought. If not, you need another unit from a real 96'er Jeep

It is on the driver fender near air filter housing. Also next to the fuel pump ballast resistor. It is the white 3 inch long piece of ceramic on the fender with eletricial connectors on each end.
