Question about 2006 Ford F-150
1. Remove the center trim panel around the radio and HVAC controls.
Open the ash tray and pull on each corner of the trim panel. The 1st time you do this, it will be very hard to release the spring clips. Only need to pull out about 3/4"
2. Once both lower corner spring clips are pulled out, work you way up each side, there are 3 spring clips on each side of the trim panel. Be careful with the top, the wires to the Passenger Airbag Deactivation indicator are very small.
After the panel is puled loose, release the connector to the PAD indicator at the top, and undo the connector to the cigar lighter ( and park aid / traction control buttons if applicable ) and release the cam over connectors on the HVAC panel.
Once you get to this point the radio is held in with 4 hex head screws
