Question about Chrysler Fifth Avenue
Have you checked out the wiring in the front of your truck to see if anything is shorted out? and i am not sure but maybe try and disconnect the the turn signal switch and see if there is a issue there i am not to sure if that could cause an issue like you are experiencing. and maybe check out you flasher modules and see if they are jacked up.
If your relay is bad though generally it will not blow the fuse. Your turn signals will just quit. If you are blowing fuses every time you put one in then you most likely have a short to ground in your wiring somewhere, usually near one of the lightbulbs. You can try replacing the relay but if this doesn't fix your problem then start chasing the wiring.
According with the repair manual, 1986 Chrysler Fifth Avenue 5.2L 2BL 8cyl you have this devices:
- Turn signal, the Flasher is located in front seating area, driver side, driver side of steering column, behind dash, mounted on lower right corner of fuse block.
- Hazard lights, the Flasher is located front seating area, driver side, under dash, driver side of steering column, mounted in top row of fuse panel.
Hope helps with this.
