The switch should be on for normal driving. the switch is turned off for jacking or lifting purposes only. when you had the brakes done the mechanic probabley turned it off and forgot to turn it back on.... so turn it back on!

Switch is located in left side of trunk. Keep in on position. Off when lifting or jacking for tire change or watever reason tires have to leave gnd.

After your brake job you said abs and trac don't opereate properly. Have wheel speed sensors checked and scan sYstem for dtc's

Why is my Lincoln LS V8 2002 has the ABS and Traction Control light on?

The traction control works off the ABS system You will need a scan tool capable of reading ABS codes before you can further diagnose the problem If you are able to retrive the abs codes searrch on the internet for the trouble code Many times it is a wheel sensor or bad connection on the sensors .

ABS/ Traction control light/BAS & brake light on in 2008 dodge grand caravan

It is safe to drive. You need a scan tool to get a code out of it. Could be as simple as a wheel speed sensor going bad. All of these lights will work together normally. The traction control uses the ABS to gain traction, and the Brake Assist System is part of the stability control. Also uses the ABS.

Abs light on and traction control light on

On most vehicles with traction control, the abs system monitors it. If there's a issue with the ABS, the traction control wont work. Check sensors on all 4 wheels and make sure they're not cracked or broken

My traction control on my 99 Merc Grand Marquis intermittently activates, typically on right hand curves, even though I am easy on the gas and it is dry. This means the car will not speed up and will only...

Some differentials have a speed sensor in the Differential casing. You may want to go to Autozone for exact info.

Most likely it is debris from the Emergency brake pads on the rear drums. The back rotors have a drum built into the reverse side.

The traction control sensors work with the ABS and when the rotation of the wheel is different from side to side, the system activates the Traction control. This applies the rear brake to a single wheel and can wear out the disc pad. The Trac control also can throttle down the engine by choking off the air intake.

Most likely all the debris is spinning at different RPMs and is simulating wheelspin. The sensors can be manually cleaned as well as the large hub "star" which the sensors get their reading from. You will see when you get it apart.

ABS and traction control really are only for panic stops and if your tires slip on wet surface's and yes each tire has a sensor on it. However if the brake light comes on this has nothing to do with the ABS or traction control lights. It's not a parking brake light. This light tells you, you have a serious brake problem.

Warning Light on the dash is illuminated all the time and it says, "BAS ESP"

This is the Brake Assistance/Electronic Stablilty malfunction light, it is the equivalent of an ABS (antilock brake) / electronic suspension control (traction control, rollover control, electronic suspension control) light. It basically means you have a problem in either your electronic ABS, traction control, or some other advanced electronic suspension control problem... Your car is fine to drive like it is, unless you detect some other driveability issue other than the dash light... (99.9% of the time it's something irrelevant and maybe stupid; that's what you get for driving electronic cars...) Your best bet to get rid of the light would be to get the car to an auto shop with a reader that can read ABS/EBS, brake and suspension codes to really find out why the light is on (usually a wheel speed sensor, or something like it...)

2001 Mercury Grand Marquis brake and ABS dash lights on and off

The red brake light is the key here. That usually indicateds a hydraulic problem. Check you fluid level in master cylinder and see if it is low. Also the level indicator sensor there in the master cylinder maybe sticking or corrioded. If ABS sees the red brake light it will shut off and turn on the ABS light, also traction control would be disabled as well.
