make sure you have erased the codes , if you are sure they have been erased , and they come back, the fault has not been fixed.

Problem with p0158 code and my truck

Code 158 is for the signal coming from O2 sensor bank two sensor two being too high.
The sensors tell the computer if the fuel mixture is rich or lean. The sensor in question is after the catalytic converter, and the signal is higher - richer than it should be or it does not come down to normal range.
Usually the sensor has failed, but it could also be other issues.

This vehicle is equiped with 2 O2 sensors 1 is before the Cat converter and 1 after the Cat converter this code is for the 1 after the Cat converter or the most rear sensor not the first 1 change the farthest one from the engine and your problem should be solved.

2001 Cherokee 4.0 6cyl -- P0161 and P0158 codes

If you do not know what the codes are, it is O2 sensor. This means the computer is not reading the right information from the faulty sensor. (there is a set range the sensor is meant to show, if one goes over or under the computer shows check engine). The diagnostic is not too bad, give the car a tune up, plugs, wires etc. and replace the O2 sensor. This normally clears up any problems. Let me know if you need further clarification or help.

'08 Highlander...VSC & check engine light came on....

Hello/ The P-0158 code realtes to the Oxygen Sensor.

Specifically, it is as follows: Oxygen Sensor Circuit has High Voltage; Bank 2 Sensor 2.

If it under warranty, take it to a dealer to get it replaced free of charge. If not, go tho a dealer and tell them that you want Oxygen Senso Bank 2, Sensor 2, and have them tel you where it is. Please do not buy an "aftermarket" sensor, they have been known to read incorrectly, and you problem will not be solved.

I hope that this helps you, and that you will award me a "FixYa" rating for my assistance. 4 blue diamonds. Thanks.
