A lean condition can be from intake leaks or fuel injector issues, or EGR, or tons of other components. It appears in your case, that the sensors are the victum and not the cause, which happens lots....
Take some brake cleaner, idle the engine and spray sparingly around and see if you get an engine reaction. Look for cracked or dislodged vacuum hoses.
