The clutch pressure plate may have failed or the clutch plate may be worn to the rivets therefore not engaging the transmission. Either of these would be making a loud noise when the clutch is engaged. Another problem could be that the hydraulic fluid is low and not allowing the throwout bearing to engage the clutch. Get underneath the car and have someone push the clutch pedal down and make sure the arm that moves the throwout bearing is moving correctly.

Here is my question: restated. My 99 Cavalier will not move at all. The emergency handbrake is not on. It goes into all of the gears easily, the car just does not move. What could the problem be?

Is your vehicle a standard or an automatic transmission? When you place the car into gear does the transmission click as though it wants to move?

My chevrolet transport is no longer engaging gears, when i put it on drive or reverse gear, it doesnt engage

check fluid level in transmission . run the fault codes and look for a faulty TCM or torque converter clutch solenoid / servo

My clutch is not fully disengaging.

Your master clutch cylinder is probably leaking (internally; fluid bypassing the seals) or you may not have done a thorough job of getting the air out of the hydraulics. I have had to do it again a couple of times and now, after renewing the fluid, bleeding all lines of old fluid, I recirculate the fluid through a clear plastic tube draped over the driver's side windshield wiper and a bottle so I actually see the air bubbles fade after pumping long enough.
If the slave cylinder is leaking, you should have some stains around the area where it is mounted on the bell housing. Many cars do have an adjustment at the slave cylinder that sets the starting point of its travel but I have found that these only very rarely need adjustment and don't change until the master or slave cylinder start to bleed fluid past their seals or the throwout bearing becomes really sloppy.
