Check the level of the power steering fluid and also the condition of the fluid. You do not want a fluid that is dark or smells burnt. It sounds as if the power steering pump is going out though.

Front end squeeling noise on 2007 honda accord

could be the power steering pump itself. If it has a bad bearing it will do that. Especially when you turn it makes the steering pump work a lot harder.

Why does the power steering pump drive belt squeel under load when its cold on 2004 hyundai elantra.

this sounds like the belt is worn and needs replacing.when its damp and cold if the belt is worn it will slip easier under this condition than in warmer weather.also the belt tension may not be proper.if this has a belt adjuster that you can adjust then the tension may need to be tightened.if it has an automatic belt tensioner(one that adjust tension all the time)like a serpintine belt then the tensioner may need to be replaced as the spring that crates the tension do get weak over time.

2005 ford 500;the steering wheel has a squeel when you turn it in eather direction.

Check the fluid. if low fill it. Check the belt for the power steering pump. It should be pretty tight, if not or if cracked or burned, replace it with a new belt.

I this does not do it, Start the vehicle, leave it in park. Have someone turn the steering wheel for you and check for belt slippage, stuck wheel on the pump, etc. If this is the problem you may be looking at needing either a new power steering pump or power steering rack.

Hi

Have you checked the power steering belt? it may be loose, sometimes when you turn the wheels the engine will move very slightly and cause the belt to squeel.

Get some wd-40 and spray the belt with the engine running then se if it gets any quieter.

It is quite common from a stand still, also check the power steering fluid.

2004 Chrysler 300m has high pitched squeeling noise during low-speed turns. (parking lots, driveways). Had a power steering flush and had serpentine belt replaced with no improvement. 103,000 miles...

Sounds like the serpentine belt is slipping . Most likely you have a bad belt tensioner. Another possibility is your steering pump could be going out. Ball joints and tie rods make clunking or knocking sounds when they are bad.

Squeels at start for first two seconds

The squeeling could be from a worn belt or if oil drips on belt overnight. Replace the belt first to see if that fixes it.Good luck.
