Use a piece of string to run the routing of the belt, bypassing the AC compressor. Measure the string and you have the correct length.

I have a 1994 Chevy Lumina it does not lose water but it keeps overheating especially when we run the ac I can't even find the AC filter. HELP! We are seniors and just can't afford to take it and have it...

your problem is either a thermostat water pump or coolant issue, i noticed you didnt say if you noticed the electric fans turning on or not this could be fuses relays or temperature sending unit. unfortunately you may need to see a mechanic to help you figure this one out but these are several things you can check for. i hope this helps

96 chevy lumina sedan

for both issues, could possibly be the flasher unit for the blinkers.....which could be separate from the hazard flasher unit...(happened on my 92 chevy lumina) or the actual turn signal switch which is located in the steering column....not the stick you push, but the part inside that the lever controls (also happened on my lumina............3 times)

TIP:

start by checking the flasher....its cheap maybe 3-4$ for a new unit.....if thats not it and you figure out its the switch, go to a junkyard.....its wayyyy cheaper
