Here is an easy way to tell if the motor is the problem or the switch, turn on the ignition and the interior lights, push the window switch to raise direction and watch dome light, if it dims slightly the motor is bad, if not the switch, since it is stuck down it is most often the motor brushes are dirty, you will need to pull the door panel drill a minimum 3/8" holes in dimples (3) of door sheet metal to access the 3 bolts that hold the motor to the window regulator.

Passenger window switch works but the drivers side switch does not

was regulator bad? did it work from drivers side switch before you did regulator repair?..if so passenger side switch wiring has issue and is not sending signal through it back to the drivers side master switches.. otherwise you need to pin test for power up power down on drivers side switch and repair that if issue going to the window on passenger side.. (possible pinched at door jam area common)

The two back rear windows will not go down

Have you tried rolling them down from the window switches in the rear? If you haven't then try that, if they work from the rear switches, then it may be the master switch on the drivers door that has went bad. If they don't roll down from the rear switches either, then it may be either bad rear switches or bad motors.

Possibly a faulty driver door switch. There is a function tied to switch allowing driver to open or close all windows through door switch.

2003 Ford Explorer Passenger fonrt window is able to go down and won't go back up. I tried switching the master power switch, I tried switching the back switch with the front (to see if it was the switch...

You may have noticed the window goes both ways with the jumper wires, the moter run either way ,just switches the polarity.

Check inside the DRIVERS door ,**** the boot that goes from the door to the body,I am betting on a broken wire (from the drivers door being opened and closed more than the rest)

The power and ground come from the drivers master switch
If the wires are not broken, the master switch is suspect.

For quite awhile now my power window wouldn't go down. Yesterday with no one touching a button it went down now its completely down, and its stuck. help please.

Most likely the switch is bad.. If were talking about the driver window then the driver switch is bad. If any other window is the problem then either the driver switch is bad or the swtch for the window in question is bad. Or you have wire that is shorting maybe in the door or the door jam area

Passenger Window Stuck all the way Down

Try switching the power window switch from the passenger side to the drivers side. Before you do that try with the switch on the up position, wiggle it from side to side. The contacts may be worn and by wiggling it may make contact. Other then that try to park it in side or garbage bag taped to keep rain out till you get it to the shop.
Hint, take it to a Auto window repair shop to replace the switch if it's bad or if the motor is bad. They have more experience to removing the door panels and removing the power window regulator (motor) if that needs to be replaced.
Good luck and hope this helps.

2005 chevy impala rear driver power window stopped going up.stuck

If neither switch works it is a bad connection at the motor or bad ground or a bad motor. Remove the door panel unplug the motor push the switch and see if there is 12volts on the wires if there is the motor is bad There are small brushes in the motor that go bad tap on the motor while pushing the switch if it works that way replace it
