Metal fan blades could be bent, or motor mounts broken/loose.

My serpentine belt keeps coming off between the big pulley at the bottem and the little pulley at the left of it what could that be


Check the pullies for slop wiggle them if they move alot there bad also if you puthe belt on look at the pullies the one leaning is bad they should not lean. one other could be the tensioner

How to change a cluth fan on a 1996 GM astro van


If it is the type I am thinking about... (a hexigon shaft coming from the waterpump pulley attatching it to the fan surrounded by 4 bolts that hold the pully to the waterpump) with this design you usuially need a clutch fan removal tool. basicly a very flat wrench and a y shaped "holding" tool (this tool basicly grips the waterpump pulley by 2 of its bolts or 2 holes in some models and you use it against the force of the wrench to crack the two loose) basicly the hex shaft is partially hollow and has a thread on the inside it attaches to a short threaded part that pertrudes from the pulley mount when it comes off expect to catch the fan and hex shaft. be careful not to attempt this without either isolating the pully from the serpintine belt or otherwise ensuring that you arent going to turn the engine over manually if you slip. also in some similar models the hex shaft may be a left handed thread. in many cases some auto supply stores may lend you specialty tools (or rent them) with a small deposit, a gm dealer can tell you if that particular model and year will thread left or right.... hope this helps

How do i replace my water pump


it is located in the block of the engine. Follow your radiator hoses to the block. The top is where your thermostat is and the bottom is where your water pump is. ------------- start by taking off the shroud around fan blade, bolts on top of radaitor. pop in plugs on bottem. Shroud will slip by blade with radiator loose. Loosen bolts from tensioner and slip fan belt off Use a ratchet to take four bolts off of fan remove it set aside. Loosen all bolts from power sterring pump only one will have to be removed. From there you can slip out and replace water pump without much trouble. ------------ this will help.

A Clutch FAN Requires the 4 Nuts/Bolts @ the Pully Bunched up in the Center Behind the FAN & In Front of Water Pump, Once Assmbly is Removed there are 4 BOLTS that Fasten the (FAN) to the CLUTCH assembly. It is Wise th REPLACE BOTH FAN & FAN CLUTCH ASSEMBLY AS A SET

Rear seatbelts jammed down backseats


hello tracieandmia, I am assuming that the seatbelt buckles are just underneath the seat. The rear seat bottem can be removed for access. If you reach under the front part of the seat bottem near each corner and lift up, the seat will release. You will need to give it a little yank and use a little force for it to release. Once each corner is released you can remove the seat bottem. To install the seat, slide it back under the seat back and push hard down on each front corner that you had previuosly pulled up at. You should hear a definite click/lock sound when the catches are locked.

Crankshaft pully is rubbing off fan blades


sounds like your water pump is bad does the fan move in and out if you pull on it or the crank bolt fell out and the pully is comming off ill bet on the water pump being bad

How do i remove the fan blade from the water pump -= the seal is leaking and i am replacing the seal behind the water pump - but i cannot figure out how to remove the fan blade .


If you go to Auto Zone or some other auto parts store that offer a loan a tool program, you can get a fan clutch removal tool. It looks like a large two prong fork that fits around the small bolts to the pully and a large wrench for the nut on the fan ( between the fan and the pully) should cost about $15.00 and you get that back when you return the tool.
