I have a 2002 Ford Taurus the air compressor was changed and charged abot two months ago, everything worked fine up until about 4 days ago. The temp gauge runs hot when the air is turned on, but normal at...
There are many things that can cause your air conditioner to not be cooling like it should. It could very-well be the radiator cooling fan if your engine is running hot. It could also be the other way around. An engine cooling system problem can cause the air conditioner to not cool properly. It may be low on freon, it may be that your air temperature control door inside the vehicle is not working properly. It could be a whole list of things.
Most people don't get "ripped off" by MOST mechanics. (although I cannot deny that it does happen) Many people "think" they are being ripped off because the people at many of the repair facilities are just too busy "making money" to take the time to explain to the customer EXACTLY what they are paying for unless the customer specificly asks. Many customers are too shy or timid to ask, then they think they are being ripped off because they leave not knowing WHAT was done to their car or WHY. All they know is that they paid a lot more than they were wanting to spend. In MOST cases, spending ANYTHING on their cars is more than they WANTED TO. Most of the shop owners or managers will be happy to explain it to you if you ask questions. If they seem to have a problem with that, then you should not do business with them.
