Question about Renault Sportwagon
It's a faulty gearbox interlock switch. Very very common on Kangoos and related Renault models like the Clio.
Contact a Renault dealer; in some territories they were replacing them for free. Otherwise you'll have to replace the switch with a new one and it's really difficult to get at without dropping the engine and gearbox. If it was easy, it wouldn't be a proper Renault!
