Keep in mind that Traction Control applies the ABS to the individual wheel when it spins too fast, slowing it down to the speed of the other wheels so that it can gain traction.

    With the traction control, its with the abs system. You will need to get a scan done to pin point area of concern but alot of times its the sensor. On the wheel. Most of the time its a connection. I am including a desciption of yor system.

    Notes:
    The traction control system, if equipped, consists of or uses the following components:
    * Anti-lock brake control module.
    * Powertrain Control Module (PCM) .
    * Front anti-lock brake sensor.
    * Rear anti-lock brake sensor.
    * Traction control switch.

    The traction control system:
    * Is operational when the ignition switch is in the RUN position.
    * Can be disabled by the driver depressing the traction control switch. The traction control system will reset when the ignition switch is cycled or when the traction control switch is depressed.
    * Is controlled by the anti-lock brake control module.
    * Applies and releases the appropriate rear brake to reduce wheelspin and aid traction if one or both rear wheels lose traction and begin to spin during acceleration.
    * Interacts with the powertrain control module to reduce engine torque if one or both rear wheels lose traction and begin to spin during acceleration.
    * Automatically stops traction control system cycling if the brakes are manually applied during traction control system operation.
    * If in operation continually on slippery roads, the anti-lock brake control module may disable the system to prevent overheating of the rear brakes. When the cool down time limit expires traction control is restored. (Anti-lock braking is fully functional during the cool down period.)
    * When the traction control system is disabled either by the driver or by the anti-lock brake control module, both rear brake modulation and engine torque modulation are disabled.
    * With the traction control system on, brake modulation to the spinning wheel is achieved by the anti-lock brake control module closing the isolation valves to the non-affected wheels and running the pump motor that provides hydraulic pressure for brake modulation to the spinning wheel.
    * Engine torque modulation is achieved by the anti-lock brake control module interacting with the powertrain control module to regulate fuel and spark.

My tcs light comes on alot

When this light comes on it means either the system is active or if it stays on for more than a few seconds then a problem has been detected in the systems operation by the computer control module that operates and monitors the system operation. You must have the dealer scan the system for fault codes with a special tool while the light is on.

You maybe have a bad switch and it's activating the actuator when it's not supposed to. Try unplugging the actuator by the front diff. See if that makes a difference.

Have your EGR valve checked. I just replaced one on a 95 towncar. It's my girl-friends car. It was $50.00 at Auto Zone. Local shops wanted $300. to replace it.

Not getting enough gas; 1997 Lincoln Towncar Signature Series

I would check the fuel pump and fuel filter. Is your check engine light on? Do an OBD 2 scan to see if any codes come up. It could be your input or ouput sensor has gone bad. So once you do the OBD scan, you can then plot your next course of action

Dash and parking lights will not come on, on a 1992 towncar

You must check all of your fuses. It's most likely one of those. Dash lights are also controlled by the intensity knob on either your headlight switch or possible near it. It will dim/brighten your radio lights and interior lights too.

Tcs light flashes

if you're flooring the car and there's wheelspin that will activate the tcs, which stands for traction control system. It cuts fuel to slow you down until you gain traction. So no burnouts on the TL. =D
