There are 2 slide type levers you can pull up on. They are on top of he headlight assembly. Pull the 2 levers and the assembly will fall out in your hands. Be sure and not touch the new bulb as it will burn out right away from the oil on your fingers.

Why would only one out of 4 marker lights work?

you are right all marker lights come off of one fuse, inside instrument panel, number 29, a 10 amp fuse my manual does not give a lamp number, it has a chart, head lamps (high) lamp 9005 60 w type a, headlamp (low) 9006 51 w type b, front marker lamps 5w type d, for the rear it says to use a lamp 7443 21.5 w type d, I do not use these, I have special lights on mine, hope that it helps

I need to replace the low beam headlight plus the running ligut. I have the bulbs but need to access the back of the unit to install the bubs.

You probably won't like this answer, but unless you are a glutton for punishment, as well as highly mechanically inclined, just take the truck to a mechanic. The headlamp bulb is inside a plastic headlight assembly like a pickle in a hamburger. To get to the pickle, you first have to open the bag, unwrap the burger, then separate the burger to get to the pickle. NO JOKE.

There are a ton of plastic parts you must remove to gain access to the headlamps. These tupperware components tend to self destruct even if you are very careful. Plan on needing at least two or three new plastic GM body rivets. The splash guard and eyebrow as well as the front bumper cover must be taken loose to gain access to the bolts that secure the headlight assembly to the frame. The plastic beauty apron must be removed above the headlight assembly. The grille above and attached to the bumper cover has to be loosened as well.
25468137-epwetmasq2n0wnrof1fw5po3-5-1.jpg By the time you are actually birth the headlight assembly out of the front quarter of the fender, you'll be sorry you even tried. Then you get to dismantle the actual headlight assembly to change the lamp inside. Don't lose the dozen or two bolts, rivets, and assorted fasteners while you fight with the headlamp assembly. Test your new light before you secure all the parts back together.
This guy had to do 4 videos to illustrate the repair!!!

How do I replace the driver's side headlamp?

Lift the hood and remove the bulb from the inside rear of the headlamp. The bulb assembly has ears on it that you use to unscrew the bulb. Look at the autozone link below to see the bulb. Installation is reverse of removal. Note: DO NOT TOUCH THE NEW BULB GLASS WITH YOUR FINGERS!! They are halogen bulbs and will burnout.

My brights quit working. My headlights work fine on my 2006 Chevy Equinox

Most of the time I find that both headlight bulbs are burned out. Remove the headlamp, open the hood and remove the retainers that hold the front grill/bumper cover to the upper radiator support. The gently pull out on the front bumper cover that goes over the headlamp to release the retainer and cover retainer with tape to avoid scratching the headlamp lens. remove the 3 bolts that hold the headlamp in place 2 at the top and one down at the bottom of the headlamp on the inboard side. Pull out on the outboard bottom part of the headlamp to release the retainer. Disconnect the headlamp bulb ck for power and ground at the headlight bulb connector. Use a test light and ck the red and white wire voltage and the d blue and pnk wires for ground. The high beam is the pink wire.So connect your test light from the pink wire to the red and white wire and turn on the high beam headlights your test light should light if it does then the bulb is burned out.

On dim all four headlights are on, but the inner

first i would want to know that all the headlamps are in good working order. it kind of sounds like these are also bad bulbs. you will also need to look for good ground wires just behind the headlamp assemblies. to answere your question, YES. if things were not repaired properly and without attention to detail then you could have wiring issues. on the plus side it doesnt sound too difficult. try these items first.

Parking light burnt out

You should be able to get to it by removing the headlight

  1. Remove the headlamp fasteners.
  2. Using a pry bar, gently pry in the center area of the headlamp assembly. Pry the headlamp assembly straight forward in order to unsnap the headlamp ball stud from the ball stud socket.
  3. Slide the headlamp straight forward and disconnect the headlamp electrical connectors from the forward lamp wiring harness.
  4. Remove the headlamp from the vehicle.
