It is probably a fault in the charging system, If funds are tight, some auto parts
stores will check the charging system for free, some even change batteries
on most models that are accessible for free as well. ( our local autozone is one which offers
this service). If you have driven in heavy rain, this can cause the charging diodes in
the alternator to fail. Also if you have a flat cell in the battery this will throw the light.
The test will identify which problem yours may have. Hope this helps.
