Passenger window on 2001 ford focus has dropped off track, how do i fix this

Remove the door panel anytime you have
window issues & they fall down or make a
noise & don't move

When you get access to the inner door panel,
you will see the problem

Not off any track, the regulator broke

Window dropped into door in 1990 cutlass calais

The temporary quick fix is to **** the window up and have a helper jam in wooden wedges inside the car, between the bottom of the window and the door slot. That will buy you some time, but won't solve your problem. The interior door panel will need to be removed and the window regulator assembly replaced. You will need a special forked tool for prying the door panel off, as well as new plastic fasteners. The old ones cannot be reused. If you want to tackle this job, first invest in a shop manual for your car, then the special pry bar (available at most auto parts stores), and new fasteners. (Count them after you remove the panel). Then remove the inner seal/sound deadener material and set aside. When you do the deed, be very careful not to cut yourself. The inner door skin has very sharp edges around the access holes. Locate and remove the nuts that secure the window regulator assembly to the inner door skin, then work it out through the largest access hole. A new window regulator is available through any GM dealer's parts counter. Reinstall in reverse order. Good luck.

4 Door. Drivers side rear window has dropped down

window regulator has failed. Look for an after market one the GM replacement is junk. Usually it is a clip that holds the cable to run window up and down. probably a safety clip used if someone gets cought in the window, GM will charge you over $400 for the fix. not hard I have it down to about 30 min. and around $100 for the regulator.

Back passanger window has come off track/cables. What is the best fix...the window has dropped to the bottom

you will need to replace the window regulator assembly.

this is a one piece design with the window motor, cables and rails serviced as an assembly.

you will need to remove the door panel, pull the window back up and wedge cardboard between the glass and door, remove the two bolts holding the glass to the regulator, remove the couple of bolts holding the regulator assemblt to the door, unplug window motor, and replace with new assembly.

this is not a tough repair, with basic handtools and common sense anybody can make the repair

good luck

My left rear windo is off it's track. How do I safely take off the door panel to fix

You need to get a clip remover from an autoparts store. once you remove the door panel from around the edges, make sure you check for screws around the arm rest to remove. the door panel should lift off the window frame. gently remove panel and look behind for any electric connectors. the window is connected at the bottom by a clip with a pin through it. if the window drops or wont raise up, you probably will have to replace the whole assembly, I found some on e-bay for aroun 115.00. Not real difficult if you have some tech experience, but can be tricky manuvering the motor out and back in. with some patience you can do it.
