Check the pump front seal, Wipe down the hoses and check the crimp fittings for leakage Also look carefully at the steering gear, the fitings and pitman arm seal ( this one is on the bottom) and the seal where the steering column goes in.

Ccean it good all over the entire steering pump behind the pulley and all lines and fittings with some brake cleaner blow it dry and start the truck turn the wheels slowly from left to right and back a few times. Shut it off and if you have an inspection mirror it makes it a bit easier to see the underside look carefully and aany leak is a leak no matter how small, replace the pump rebuilding it is hard and time consuming. Hope this helps contact me if not I'll do all I can to help you fit this.

    Thanks, Randy

Possibly blew the high pressure line, refill reservoir, have someone start the truck and turn the wheel while you observe for the source of the leak. Wear protective eyewear for safety.

I have a 1981 Jeep CJ7 (Straight 6). When my jeep is running there are no leaks, but as soon as i turn it off coolant leaks from the metal pressure hose coming from the steering box. The leak is coming...

The metal hose would not have coolant in it if it connects to the steering box. That would be a power steering hose with power steering fluid. If coolant is leaking, it must be from the radiator. New radiators are not all that expensive, keep your ride good with a new radiator, or have a radiator shop seal the leak, clean and pressure test the old radiator. If any rust is in the radiator just replace it, or you will soon have new leaks.

Leaking radiator fluid under hood, sprays everywhere i belive from hose, not actually coming from radiator. What its doing is causing the engine to over heat burning oil eventually leading the car to

You have three hoses on top, one from rad to engine, and 2 for the heater. You have one hose on the bottom rad to the engine. Given the car is 10+ years old, I would replace all of them.

My 01 impala has got transmission fluid everywhere under my hood whats wrong and how much are we talking to fix it

Well leaks are not that expensive at all. But i would say go under your car and wipe all tthe fluid and put a cardboard under the transmission to locate the leak source than you can find out if its from the drain plug or from the oil pan. Good luck

If the hose is split, replace the faulty hose and refill the power steering fluid. (When the engine starts up, the power steering pump pressurises the system which is why the leakage occurred after you started the engine).
