Question about 1991 Chevrolet Lumina
Your engine's starving for fuel. your fuel pump may be bad. if your engine starts ok and it only idles fine, the fuel pump pressure may not be correct. the fuel pump pressure should be around 180lbs to the motor.a bad fuel pump can either quit pumping,or it may only pump just enough to start the engine, but not produce enough fuel to run it down the road.the fuel pumps located inside the gas tank under the car. most shops guage the price of removal and replacement of the fuel pump on how much fuels in the gas tank, the more fuel, the heavier the gas tank. a full gas tank can be super heavy and hard to handle under the vehicle. suggest that you call around local shops for a price of replacement fuel pump.also call local parts places such as auto zone or advance auto parts for prices of the fuel pump, that way you can guage the price of the pump against the labor the shops charge you. hope this helps and thank you for choosing fixya.com
