When I turn in my 2002 Honda Odyssey, the steering wheel makes a "vibrating/rubbing" noise. What might be causing this? Thanks.

Does this happen at both high and low speeds? At high speeds I'd suggest that you have the wheel bearing checked. If it's at low speeds, check the wheelwell for parts that might be coming in contact with the tire. Drive VERY slowly and carefully have someone look at it.

Whats happened when a front wheel slowly grinding sound than finally got a sort of a lock up on the motorway at about 90k

It could be your brake pad has worn down and is rubbing on the metal backing, or a wheel bearing needs to be replaced. There are several components in there that could be malfunctioning---most malfunctions in the wheel/steering can be VERY dangerous...please have it checked by a professional before you drive it again.

2003 honda accord 2.4 power stering hard, replace pump got little softer but still hard

The steering is controlled by the steering rack,
& they get stiff because no one changes the fluid
every 3 years

The upper strut bearings fail & make steering stiff

Doubt the pump was a problem at all

Smoking and burning rubber smell coming from around right rear tire

ok jack up the right rear tire look at the inside ot the tire as you slowly rotate the tire also look for any signs that something is rubbing against the tire. if you must remove the tire and check to see if the spring in the strut is broken and rubbing against the tire. I ran into this problem before and the spring in the strut was broke shifted against the tire and caused it to rub the tire causing smoke. let me know we will keep trying to find the cause

My 99 dodge durango makes a "rubbing" sound when

it might be because of the tires rubbing against the fender, as you speed up the tires expand so the can rub against the sides of the fender.

or it might be a simple brake problem, u can try getting your brakes serviced

The front right tire clicks when driving. the speed of the clicking increases as speed of the car increases. what is causing the clicking sound?

possibly a cv joint is going or perhaps a wheel bearing. any other symptoms ? in a parking lot turn the wheel all the way to the right and drive slowly in a circle and listen for a clicking sound... then turn it to the left and repeat. make sure it's an empty parking lot and you don't hit anything.

Very loud "rubbing " sound when driving only

you did damage to the wheel bearing i bet it sounds like a airplane sound. also if you steering wheel is off 7"then have front end aligned because this will destroy the tires and they will make noise.

When taking a right or left turn , going slowly sounds as if tires are rubbing ? otherwise truck runs good, any solutions?

you tires may be to big for your truck. turn your wheel and look at them to see if they are rubbing. it my be rubbing on a plastic cover they put on under the wheel wels to keep the water from flying into the vehicle while driving while raining
