It's not the fuse link, replace the alternator and fuse and everything should work. The problem is a faulty voltage regulator causing the fuse to blow.

Most parts stores carry these. if not may have to call your dealer. Good luck.
But you really need to check out closely and find what blew the fuse.

On a 1994 honda civic, the lights were left on all night and got a new battery and now there's no power at all, no lights and carr will not start again no power at all, what can the problem be ?

Make sure the battery posts and terminals are shiny clean and tight, and the battery is fully charged, Leaving the light on will not harm anything only discharge the battery, sometimes a junction box is attached to the neg battery terminal for other cables make sure they are clean and tight .

Alternater wire burnt out. Had to replace alternater and battery. Battery light still on and its drained. All fuses check out good . What else could it be?

Hello! Is the Alternator wire color that burnt Yellow/White?...This wire is powered by a 175 Amp Mega-Fuse....The other end of which is connected directly to the Positive terminal of the battery AND is the main battery supply to the Starter Motor...It would appear that there is Resistive contact to ground drawing (for example 100 Amps)...Thats a lot of current and is the cause the fault your SL is having...But not enough to blow the fuse...Disconnect the Positive battery cable and visually follow that lead to the starter motor to see if it is laying against the frame...You really need a multimeter set on the X10 ohm scale...One probe on the disconnected + battery cable and the other to bare metal of the chassis....Must read infinity as in no reading at all...
I believe you'll read resistance and my first choice is the starter motor connection because of its tight fit and close proximity to the frame...Let me know what you find...Guru...Saailer

Tale lights not turning off unless you take battery cable off. and break lights not working

Sounds like your brake light switch isstuck closed. You can test this by removing fuse #5 STOP 10A in the drivers side kick panel fuse center. If the the lights go out with this fuse removed then you most likely need to replace the brake light switch using the following procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Unplug the wiring from the switch terminals. On some models, it may be necessary to remove the lower dash trim panel and air duct for access.
  3. Loosen the locknut closest to the brake pedal arm. Unscrew the switch from the nut, then remove it from the bracket. To install:
  4. Position the switch so the plunger is lightly compressed against the stopper on the pedal, then finger-tighten the locknut.
  5. Connect an ohmmeter across the terminals of the switch. Adjust the switch so that continuity is displayed on the ohmmeter just as the brakes are applied, but no sooner.
  6. Tighten the locknut to hold the switch in position. Engage the electrical connection.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable, then test the operation of the brake lights.

What component besides an alternator would make my car battery drain?

could have a draw on the battery or a bad battery
to check for a draw remove positive battery cable from battery take a test light (if you don't have one borrow one or buy one there real cheap and very useful )
attach one end of test light to positive post of battery attach other end of test light to the removed battery cable if the test light lights up bright u have a draw on battery start pulling fuses until light goes really dim or go out then u will know what circuit to look for a possible short on

if light is really dim or off when you connect it u don't have draw (the dim light is just computer and radio memory that always draw on battery but so little of draw it shouldn't effect anything

if you don't have a draw on battery u have either a bad battery (won't hold a charge) or a alternator that not charging battery

Need fuse list for 2001 ford f350 trailer lights not working

In the fuse box under the hood, fuse in position 20 is a 7.5amp fuse for the trailer left turn circuit, fuse in position 22 is a 7.5 amp fuse for the right turn circuit, if the fuses are good and you have power at them it is going to be wiring, at the back of the truck close to the driver side at the bumper is a gray connector that will take factory wiring to you trailer wiring the yellow wire is left turn/brake light, the green wire is right turn/brake light, and the brown is tail lights, and the orange wire is 12volt feed for if there is a battery on the trailer that needs to be kept charged for break away safty brakes.

Center brake light illuminates, but LH/RH brake lights do not

LH/RH lights cable could be disconnected anywhere, will take a long time to trace.
Center Brake Light and LH & RH should be connected at one point.
Jump a cable from Center Brake Light to one of Rear Break Light.
Hope this will works.

Battery wont cahrge up

Hi,welcome to fix ya.
It sounds like you are not getting power to the alternator if it is really god. check the large wire at the post with your meter it should have the same voilage as the battery. if not try cleaning the connections at the battery and check the inline fuse link .

Third brake light on 1988 Toytota Tercel Liftback

I never had a Toyota but if you can change the bulb you should be able to check for voltage. Check voltage at bulb connection and work back from there to find were voltage is lost. If voltage goes into the third light but no voltage at socket it gives you some info on where to look. I had one which had a circuit board which the light plugged into. I had to change the board.
