Question about 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
I used to be a benz-tech at the dealer. Is the lid the type that opens to the driver or the passenger? If it indeed is, this problem is common. There are two tabs in the front of the lid that must be depressed where they lock onto the bottom. While doing this, you must hold the release buttons on the side while lowering the lid back into position and snapping it back in. Verify operation after by opening both ways. Take your time, I do this in 30 seconds, but it will take a few minutes the first time.. Dont give up!!
