First your battery is low. Normally it takes up to a minute. Also disconnecting & connecting battery I HOPE you're connecting negative cable last. If you're not connecting negative last, you ARE damaging electronics with a power spike.

Flat battery. Recharging but why is fuse board making lot of clicking noises and sounding alarm as battery charges?

1st disconnect the battery from the circuit board and charge the battery separately. Then reconnect the battery and see if it resets itself normally.

Hooked the battery back up and the turning lights are flashing and the dash lights are flashing

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you have the battery charged. It can be an indication of a weak battery or a faulty alternator. If the battery light still on after charging then the problem will surely be on the alternator itself. If that's the case the alternator should be replaced to resolve the problem.

You may try to reset it to by removing the positive battery connector, letting it sit for at least 5mins. then reconnect it again. This will reset the system and can get the battery light off.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Maintenance light needs to be reset. how do you

Remove battery connectors/ terminals for 5 minutes and reconnect.

The light should switch off by itself.

Good luck and remember to rate this.

6 disc changer will not eject cds==

One common solution is to disconnect the negative battery cable for 10minutes. When you reconnect, the stereo should reset itself and allow you to eject your CD's . Best of luck!

Replaced battery on 98 Porsche Boxster and now odometer is wrong

I had the same problem and was about to take the car to the dealership tomorrow, but I decided to try disconnecting the battery and see if it would reset itself. When I reconnected the battery the odometer mileage went back to where it was before I changed the battery. It worked!

Maybe it will work for you. Good luck!

Computer

There's no code to reset the computer. Go out, turn the key on, but don't start the engine. The throttle position sensor sets itself up, and if you have an ATQ engine, you have a drive-by-wire throttle setup as well. In that case, the throttle body itself will align itself when you do this (you'll hear a humming from the back center of the engine). When the humming stops, you can crank up the car. My 99 A4 takes awhile to relearn everything - I'm usually in for a week's worth of surging idle and occasional stalling when I reconnect the battery after working on it, so give it some time.
