Hello grsmall.

They make it tough to find some of these things now and even tougher to access.
You will need to pull the right front inner fender well out to access it.
It is behind it towards the front.
I had a hard time the first time I had to find it too.

I hope your repair goes well.
Thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: cant find the low pressure port to charge a/c on 2000 olds alero

It should be near the compressor on the low side line. It is a huge pain to get to. Feel along the line, and you should come to the fitting.

SOURCE: AC low pressure port

Go to your closest ford dealer and ask if they have a book showing all the parts and lay outs of your vehicle, or even try e-bay or a book store. But Ford should be able to help you.

Test low pressure switch using jumper wire if you think it has enough freon. Low pressure switch may have failed.

Where is the port to install a.c.gas

Well, on the left side of the engine compartment. It will be covered by a plastic cap usually light blue or black in color. The coupling on your refill kit will only fit the Low Pressure side, the high and low are different sizes.

Where is the suction service port on the 2000 ford focus lx and do you need a special fitting other than 134a gauges

it's the smaller of the two ports, low pressure, and no 134a will work, unless you have r12 in the system. you can get a retrofit kit at the parts store

Where do i put freon in on a 2005 focus

Your focus should not take freon. Freon is used in older cars from 1995 on back. Your focus should take R134 and the plug for your AC should be located under the passenger side wheel well (yes ford makes things so convenient). Just unscrew the little plastic crews in you wheel well and attach the gauge and can of R134 (should take a little more than 2 large cans).

Are there any pictures showing where to attach the freon canister to on my 2003 Ford Focus air conditioner?

The low pressure port is behind the passenger fender liner. Remove the right front tire so you can remove the liner.

Detach the wheel arch trim panel on the passenger's side (driver's side shown).
  • Remove six bolts.
  • Remove the trim panel.
