Lately there has been alot of questionable fuel going around - I would put a heavy duty fuel system cleaner through it and check for a cracked or missing vacuum line.

I have a 97 nissan pathfiner that will start and run for 10 seconds or so then sputter and die. If I press the gas pedal it dies as well. I have changed the fuel filter and put the injector cleaner in but...

most likely spark plugs will the culprit. that is the first thing i would check. Next on the list would be spark plug wires, that should always be done with the plugs anyway. Hope this helps if not let me know. I can help troubleshoot further.

Bad gas miles

I would try changing the oxygen sensors, they are required to be changed each time you do a tune up also if you purchase a K&N air cleaner you will get much better gas miliage.

Nissan pathfinder 97 ran out of gas now it won't start, do you know why?

If it turns over but does not fire then it is prolly the fuel pump. Running them dry is not healthy especially with the ethenol in todays gas.

Poor fuel economy 99pathfinder

When was last "healthy" tune up? Plugs, wires, all filters and fluids? I'd start there and run a good fuel system cleaner through it and replace fuel filter. Also make sure tire pressures are up to specs on drivers door sticker. The tune uo will give you a good "ground zero" starting point.

Hey I have a 1993 nissan pathfinder sitting in my driving about for 4 years now and Im about to start driving it soon..what should I do?

First thing to do is change the engine oil and filter and give it a full tune-up. The gas in the tank is probably gonna be no good, all gummed up, so if you can, empty it and get fresh gas.
