I was looking for something else, but thats about what it's coming down to. Everthing else works, but low beams. I've checked everything else.........traced wires, LCM is OK.
Is that a ****** to replace??? Haven't done one on a newer ford.
    Thanks,
    Randy

By dimmer switch.....you mean the blinker, high beam-Low beam switch.....correct in the steering column? Not the dash dimmer.
    Thanks,
    Randy

You need to replace your dimmer switch - common Ford problem.

I've seen more dimmer switch problems in last couple of years and yea they can be a pain. Best advice - don't rush it, take your time or you'll be doing the work twice. (trust me, I've been there more than once)

correct - lever to flash between HI's/Lo's. "the dreaded column switch" as it's commonly known as.

The low-beam headlights don't work. The fuses are fine as I replaced them with those of the high-beams and the high-beams worked. Other than both bulbs burning out at the same time what else could be...

Possibly the bulbs. Take a look at them; they have 2 coils per bulb, one for the low beam and one for the high beam. So it is possible that the more used low beam burns out before the lesser used high beam.

High beams work low beams do not

you don`t say if you have checked the fuses for the headlights.if the fuses are okay and you know that the low beam filaments are working.you may have to feed power and ground directly to the proper headlight prongs from the battery to make sure the bulbs are good.then it could be a relay for the low beams or a switch for the headlights.you don`t say if you have daytime running lights on this car as there is a module for this system that may be the problem for the now low beams.

Headlights wont dim but work when clicked on bright

Replace both low beam headlights. It's common to have one headlight burned out and you may not realize it for months. Then the other one goes out and "puff" you have NO low beams.

My dims work part of the time on 2003 crown vic, brights work

Try Autozone or similar and ask if they show a fusible link for the lights. Not sure if there are separate for low and high beam. Sometimes fusible links are under battery case and get crushed.
