Check oil level first if ok, then you're going to need to replace oil pump in near future.

Oil light comes on when the car is idleing or when I let off of the gas it blinks what could be the problem?

Low oil pressure maybe? Oil pressure will vary depending on engine speed-higher speed=more psi, lower speed=less psi. If there is a mechanical reason for low oil psi then idle is when it will be low enough to turn on or flicker the light. Also, you could very possabily have a slugged up oil pick-up screen.

Anti skid console lights come on when driving at highway speeds. This has been checked by service department and computer hookup that reports no problems but it still happens.

I'm having this on my 2006 Montero as well. It happens when I turn right (like entering a highway, and pressing the gas hard). I can make that not happen if I turn off traction control before heading to that ramp, however, it kicks back on at 45mph I think. I also have it if I am going down a hill, at higher speeds, say through an "S" turn. It has also been explained to me that this is actually my ABS kicking in, likely b/c a sensor is bad or dirty, thinking that a wheel is slipping or lifting off of the ground. Basically, a wheel is not moving at the same rate of speed as the others, causing ABS to kick in and brake the other wheels so they can all "sync" back up. The kicker here is, there is no code. The ABS is working as it's supposed to. It's what is triggering the ABS that is not working right. I have yet to get a successful diagnosis on how to fix this.

One thing that greatly reduced it, and I mean greatly... Make sure your tires are the same size, preferably the recommended size by Mitsubishi, as well as make sure all 4 are of the same tread depth. When my rears were a lot lower tread depth from my fronts, it happened every time I hit the highway. Once I replaced my rear tires (fronts were already new), it may happen once a month or less now.

Lastly, my 2003 Montero had a similar issue. My issues on that ended up being a couple things....

My throttle body was causing my truck to throw an error, which caused the computer to throw an error, when put it in "limp" mode, deactivating traction/stability control. The 2nd part to this is that I had 2 of my 5 transfer case switches that needed to be replaced. (if you do this, replace all 5 at the same time). If there was the perfect storm and my throttle body started acting up when my transfer case switches did, my traction control light would light up at wierd times and blink or stay lit.

If you ever fix this, reply back.

I never had any issues w/ my 2002 as Mitsubishi didn't add traction control until 2003...and it's been a pain ever since.

Oil pump of mitsubishi montero 1998 is not functioning

If you have a timing belt on the engine it is a good bet that there is a belt that also drives the oil pump. Have you done anything to the motor like a rebuild. Missing/loose oil pick up pipe. Pump not primed before fitting. The oil goes first to the filter for cleaning before going to the rest of the engine so your problem will be in the pump drive or pick up area. Have you put oil in the sump.?

2003 Mitsubishi Montero (full-size) check engine light is on, the engine sounds like it knocks as I accellerate and the shift diff. lights blink after driving 25 or 30 miles.

The engine is probably making a knocking sound because the oil needs to be changed or replaced. The check engine light is indicating that you will need regular dealership servicing soon, however you can still drive the vehicle but depending on mileage it will determine what services are required.
