Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

SOURCE: Radio code needed
unfortunatly the only way to get a radio code is from the mercedes dealership. I've always been able to get a code by contacting the service department and giving them the serial number on the head unit. hopefully the unit is not installed in the vehicle or you have the ability to remove it yourself because the serial number is on the radio head unit. The number will follow an s/n abreviation the other number is a part number. the software numbers won't matter as far as getting the code. I worked at an independent shop so I had authorization to get codes with only serial numbers. You will have to go to the dealer and provide a reciept to ensure the unit is not stolen.

Think on some stereos if your code is 5678 you would press button number 1 five times button 2 six times etc.
Not always that clear. lock out can occur so take care if in doubt see a dealership
