Any exhaust getting red hot is a serious
cam timing issue, as well as a possible

How many oxygen sensors are in a 2003 Saturn vue v6

2 x oxygen sensors --one after each cat converter
there are also 2 x heated oxygen sensors ( different operation and reporting system) that are before the cat converters or in the exhaust manifolds run the fault codes to find the faulty sensor and it probably isn't either o2 or ho2 sensors

Obd light on, idle rough, smell, no throttle

The obd light with tell specifically what it is, is it gas or rotten egg - the latter means catalytic converter, gas smell probably flooded or not firing on one or more cylinders, need more details. Also, if the light is flashing it's warning of catalytic damage - raw fuel hitting the cat, smell could be heat from cat trying to burn off raw fuel,it will glow red hot.

Cherry red exhaust

check that your map sensor is getting direct vacuum. if it's mounted directly on the throttle body, take it off and see that the vacuum passage is not clogged up. also check that it is getting voltage and that the computer sees it. Your map sensor and tps are responsible for how much fuel goes into the engine when you are driving; the o2 pretty much only regulates idle mixture. also see that your egr is not stuck open.

2003 Saturn LW200 won't idle runs fine as long as you have your foot on the gas. No engine light coming on so don't know if it is a sensor. Any ideas.

Only things that would cause that are, most likely, the Idle Air controller, the Throttle Position sensor, or possibly a vacuum leak. If it continues, you will get a check engine light eventually.

1989 corvette, replaced mass airflow and still cuts out and then runs rough till it sits for a while. Took it to chevy dealer and mech said that another sensor was causing problem with the mass airflow...

on the back of the throttle butterfly is a sensor that controls the amount of fuel and it has carbon paths inside it ands i think this is the one causing your problem ,

I would take it in and have them do a diagnostic on it, sounds like the cam shaft sensor to me.

Rough idle P0300

a faulty MAF will not cause a P0300, just a severe loss of power, look for injector, ignition and intake vacuum leaks as your causes.
