Question about 2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid

2 Answers

I have a 2008 Mercury Mariner V6 Premier 4x4. It is running very rough and makes a deep popping noise at idle. I had it connected to a computer. The computer says, misfire #4 and lean. I have changed the spark plug, the coil pack and still get the same code. The truck runs rough and vibrates at about 45mph. It is NOT at full power. Any ideas?

Please let me know if u find out what this is. I have the same exact vehicle doing the same thing. It's almost like a bubbling threw the breather. We changed the map sensor because it was code that come up on the computer alone with the same codes as yours. The map sensor did not fix the problem. Could there possibly be a factory recall?

Smoke Test the intake manifold

When the Spark Plugs were replaced,
they may have over looked the intake
gaskets or damaged them

You either have a misfire on a coil that
isn't the one the code showed or you
have intake vacuum leaks & the lean
O2 Sensor Reporting.

I may have mis read what you said.

You have to replace all spark plugs,
look at O2 switching time ,then work
on the coil walking thing, with a new coil,
until you find the offender

STalling out with acceleration

Possible MAF sensor or loss of fuel pressure due to a failing fuel pump is best guess. I would really need to drive it to be sure and run some tests

What is the brake bleeding order for a 2006 mercury mariner v6 premier?

Start at the caliper furthest from the master cyclender, should be right rear then move to left rear followed by right front and lastly left front! I have done many different cars over the years and this procedure allway works perfectly:)
