I'm facing this problem after a long drive, the rpm was varying between 200? or ? during the various starting conditions once it was 4k in 50kmph and once it was 4.2k in 50 what reason plz help me

I would pull the codes from the computer first and foremost, but generally when dealing with fluctuating RPM, it's either bad vacuum, Eger valve, IAC, or TPS, It's a lot easier if you just pull the codes and it'll narrow down the field of possibilities for you.

505 is (bad idle)

TDC is big time bad, idle speeds are the last to work right
on any EFI engine... its a side show.

Daihatsu terios 2007 OD light flashing p1706

Hello,

Got a book to your vehicle? Sounds like a sensor or switch either on the engine or transmission. In your book look at any switch or sensor associated with the 1706 code. Usually, when a code is thrown the code is meant to narrow down possible problems. Sometimes in the code reader book there will be some given parts associated with a specific code. However, to me--this sounds like a transmission shift module or throttle rpm communication problem.

I hope this helps.

DTC Reported P0505,P0351 What does this mean?

google it or better get the FSM for your car, and read how to do the tests, that prove what causes each DTC.
505 idle speed failure.
351
http://www.obd-codes.com/p0351

there are 5 engines, so first find that out,.
351
ignition Coil # 1 Primary Circuit Peak primary circuit current not achieved with maximum dwell time.
this means the coil primary is open (other books show the fail is for too low current (open coil in COP)

505
Engine started; system voltage over 11.5v and the PCM detected an unexpected voltage condition on one or more of the IAC motor circuits for 2.75 seconds with the IAC motor active.

id fix the 351, cop coil , its probably bad, or bad connections to it.
then clean the iSC,
then reset all codes, with a scan tool
drive 20 miles or until CEL glows, driving and the rescan.

Chevrolet tracker 2001 - started driving so that

Run a vacuum test. Start motor and try to rev a little. If the vacuum drops it could be a plugged cat or muffler, some type of exhaust restriction. Vacuum should pull steady at 15 to17 inches at idle. This is just one possibility.

My 2002 honda civic has a check engine light which is showing iac code 505, what is the problem

Take out the air intake tube that goes to the throttle body and start the car. Now have someone hold the gas peddle so the engine stay at 2500 rpm get a can of carburetor cleaner at your local parts store and spray into the throttle body. Car may shut off start it back and repeat process until half of the can is left. reset engine light

I have codes 22,24,and 12 that i pulled, car dieds sometimes at the lights and check engine light stays on.

Hello;
Check your coolant. It may be low and overheating your engine to the point of shut down. Code 22 is the coolant sensor, code 24 is the intake air sensor and 12 is no RPM or NE signal.
Thanks;

Hello;
Have you looked at a Haynes or Chitons vehicle specific book? They usually have the wiring diagrams in the electrical section. If not the library often has the high end books with the diagrams you can trace or photocopy.
Hope this helps.
Thanks;

hello from what you explained i take it theres no check engine lights on what it sounds like is a basic increase on your idle screw get somone to help push pedal down underhood look to see where gas cable pulls back when gas pedals appled have them release slowly now watch where it stops against a set screw that is your adjustment rpm range should be somewhere between 750-900 rpm depending on vehicle if this doesnt solve most likely tps sensor{ throttle position sensor} goodluck
