Well Carol, to be quite honest, your problem is not easy to DIY and it probably won't be super cheap to fix. The "Trac OFF" light indicates that the Traction Control is not on or not functioning properly. This usually means that the TCM or Traction Control Module is bad. The "Anti Lock" light indicates that you most likely have one or more wheel sensors that are bad, or the ABS (Antilock Breaking System) has a bad module. You may also want to check out some forums on the buick century. It seems as thought the problems you are experiencing, are quite common in the Buick Century. Here are a few links that may help you narrow it down and possibly find a manufacturers recall on the problem. Hope this helps.

Posi trac, brake, anti lock lights on dash, i know it is an electrical problem, because it reverts back and forth. where do i check for a frayed and or bad connection

Not necessarily electrical. Wheel speed sensors bad can cause this too. Have someone with good scan tool that reads ABS codes run scan.

Anti lock and trac off lights on in a 2003 buick

Probably pointing to one or more of your wheel speed sensors having problems. Have the ABS codes scanned on the vehicle. This should help give direction on where to look next. Also, check tire pressure, as uneven pressure can cause this condition.

Why does the LOW TRAC and ANTI-LOCK warnings light up a majority of the time when I am driving? What is LOW TRAC?

low trac light and abs light run hand in hand. first thing id check is the code stored in abs module. youll almost guaranteed to find a bad abs wheel sensor--which to replace is a wheel hub assembly ....hope that helped you out

Anti-lock and trac-off lights

It could be a loose wire under the hood or dash. Was there any smell associated with the pop-hiss? It sounds like there was a short in the main power somewhere that literally killed your engine and then let it restart under it's own momentum. Hence the blackout and reset of the main computer.

Right rear wheel has rubbing and grinding noises, as on cast iron

My advise is to adjust the rear brakes. The drum should not move in a side to side fashion. adjusting the brakes will also more than likely take care of that anti lock brake light also. adjust the brakes up to where the rear wheel will spin but you should be able to hear the brake show dragging slightly on the drum.

Turn off some dash lights

these lights come on when a wheel sensor goes bad or has a bad connection. I unplug mine and clean them up front. I have even found them unplugged before. Sometimes a rainey day will affect them. It they are bad it involves changing the wheel bearing assembly which is not cheap but not a hard job to do. Good luck
