Most common cause is the flexible hose ,they collapse inside the tube ,disconnect the feed into the flexible hose and see if it pushing out fluid ,i think you will find it is ,if its not then it could have a problem with the ABS if fitted ,you havent stated the year so if its an older vehicle it may not have ABS .So start with feed pipe into flexible hose first and see what happens

1994 Chevy Cavalier front right brake is locking up every time you step on brake . I already changed that caliber and it is still doing it

MOST OF THE TIME WHEN A CALIBER LOCKS UP: IT IS NOT BECAUSE OF THE CALIBER BEING BAD. THE CAUSE IS THE RUBBER BRAKE LINE GOING TO THE CALIBER IS BAD INSIDE OF THE RUBBER HOSE. ONCE YOU PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL YOU PUSH FLUID INTO THE CALIBER ONCE YOU RELEASE THE PEDAL THE FLUID DOES NOT ALL RETURN TO THE MASTER CYL. THE HOSE IS OLD AND THE RUBBER IS BUSTED INSIDE OF THE HOSE AND THE FLUID IS STAYING INSIDE OF HOSE AND HOLDING PRESSURE ON THE CALIBER. I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ME AND NEEDLESS TO SAY IT COST ME AROUND $500.00 TO HAVE IT FIXED AFTER I REPLACED CALIBER, ROTOR AND BRAKES.

Im bleeding the breaks on a 91 chevy c1500 the front calipers are locking down and not releaseing

First thing to check is the slide pins on the calibers. Make sure they are clean and free of any rust. If not, replace them. If they are not rusty then clean & lubricate them with a very small amount of grease. Your brake system on this vehicle is 20 years old. Have you ever changed the brake fluid? If you are like most people the answer is no. I recommend you flush the entire brake system and install fresh DOT3 fluid. Look closely at the flexible brake hoses that connect to the caliber. They may be collapsing and I recommend you replace them on a 20 year old vehicle. I would also recommend you replace the calibers on the front. With new calibers, brake lines, and fresh fluid you should have great brakes. If you still have the problem replace the master cylinder.

Brake problem toyota carina e "94

sounds like break hose is not letting fluid run back to resavor. have you done a break job lately and maybe kinked a line. break lines ar two way, fluid to caliber and returns to resavor thru same line. you also might have a caliber sticking.

NEED HELP 2007 dodge caliber

It only has the tube, the dealership has a dipstick to check it. It has to be checked with a scan tool hooked to the vehicle so they can read trans fluid temp. This is why you no longer get the dipstick with the car
