Your battery will be a top post 600 (CCA) Cold Cranking Amp battery. Cost you around $100 for a good mid-level battery. I would get one with no less than a 2 year full warranty and 6 year partial warranty. NAPA, Auto Zone, Advance Auto Parts all have decent batteries.

I have a bmw 318i s reg every time we open the door the hazzard lights start flashing the car will start but the hazzards come on whilst driving every thirty seconds the fob no longer works so are using...

That's unusual if the fob is related to key less entry. If not disregard this message but my repair manual states that the batteries are always charging whilst the car is on with the key in it. I've obviously have been trying to get the information for my Screen for too long.

sounds like one of your temperature sensors has failed and there is too much fuel being fed to the engine.

I have a 3series bmw on an l reg 318i is it easy to fit a drive belt with out a manual ?

Pretty easy. email me at iambanshee74@yahoo.com so I can send you the manual. One tip I will give is; when you get the new belt identify the writing on it and hold it so you can read it like holding a book in your hand. Install it the same way. This will prevent any potential of future squeeking or squeeling. A little trick I learned while working on Mercedes.

My w reg 318i is overheating and i do not know where the thermostat is

Hi!!
The thermostat is located where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine, that is the thermostat housing, remove it to get to the thermostat.
