What do shops charge to change two front shocks on a 2004 chevy blazer?

Msot shop will charge you close to $100. This is an easy job and yo may be able to tackle it yourself with at few tools. Trace the shock to see if it is easy to access both ends (turn the wheel to one side to gain access). Make an assessment if this is a job you can tackle or ask a friend to assist...you may get the job done for a lot less. Shocks are pretty simple. Good luck

98 Blazer 4WD front axel falling out of differential

I would dismantle the axle, fit new thrust bearings and anything else that is worn/damaged and reassemble/adjust clearance gaps to it, according to the service manual.

My rav4 takes bumps hard, can changing tires help with this?

changing tires will help some but if your tread isnt worn enough to justify the cost wouldnt be worth it. depending on your mileage it may be time for shocks/struts. 50,000 is a good time to start checking into shocks.

you can test shocks by doing the following:

the easiest test i know is to push down on front (or rear) of the car, keep pushing until you get it bouncing then let go. if the car has good shocks it will bounce only once after you let go. look under the car at the shocks, if there is oil leaking from the shocks, they are bad.

I need to change my front and back shocks on my 1999 chevy blazer 4.3 4x4 and the bolts are pretty rusted so I want to go out and buy some new one's before I replace the old shocks in case I bust one, and...

If you call the dealer they may tell you the bolt size or they would get them for you. Probably wouldn't be too expensive and you would have the right size and grade.

How to change a clutch on a 98 blazer???

It would be to hard to tell and show you over the computer.
The best and easiest way for you is to buy a Chilton manual for your car at the autoparts store. The book runs about $20
This book is a do-it-yourself bible. It will show you everything you need to know on how to do maintenance and repair on your vehicle.

What transmission interchanges with a 98 4z`x4 Blazer

sorry but your stuck with the 4l60e if you want it to be right. as for using the bravada transmission thats fine you just have to use your transfer case. your transfer case uses a switch on the dash and an electric motor on the transfer case. the bravada uses a series of sensors on the front and rear axle that sense wheel slippage and send a signal to the electric motor on the transfer case causing it to lock in four wheel drive. when the sensors dont sense wheel slippage any more the system returns to two wheel drive. that,s why they call it smart track. just unbolt your transfer case from your transmission and bolt it to the bravada transmission and install it. p.s- dont forget to at least change the front pump converter seal. for 4 or 5 bucks it,s cheap insurance against a major leak and i dont think you want to pull that transmission out again and yes i saw that happen to many times. good luck.-G.J.M
