How Do I Put new glass mirror on a 2004 ford territory

Interior or exterior? I have looked up mirror glass for some makes and models. It was just the mirror glass with adhesive backing. You take old glass out of assembly. Remove adhesive backing from new mirror glass and stick it on. I don't know if applicable for your vehicle? Do a web search for mirror glass.
You could probably buy the whole mirror assembly, if you want?

Mercedes w210 2001 wing mirror dissmantel to replace glass

Hi, Fold mirror in towards car and you will see an inspection hole at the bottom left of the end of the mirror housing. Insert a flat blade screwdriver into the hole and press against a small metal clip. you will feel the clip move and the housing will then slide off allowing you to unclip the glass

I am in the process of replacing the Power Steering Pump on my 2006 Ford F-250 Lariat w/ 6.0L Diesel. Need solutions on how to fix it...

-jtrentvin332
I forgot to mention during our chat that to remove the serpentine belt, all you have to do is pull the tensioner back. The tensioner has a square hole in it. Use a 1/2" breaker bar and stick it into the hole and pull the tensioner back to release the tension while you slip the belt off of one of the pullies. You don't have to take the belt off of all of them...Just so you get it off of the power steering pump pully.

I have a 1987 Ford F 250. The ignition is really hard to turn over. It will start and run fine if I have the strength to turn it over. Why???

This is due to a bad ingition switch on the column or the igniton cylinder lock, you will need to remove the lock and see if it spins freely off the linkage for the switch ,90% of the time its the key cylinder, some off these fords are easy to replace the lock and remove it, there a small hole at the bottom of the column where the lock sits, if you look under the lock there should be a small holel insert a pick into the hole and push lightly then turn key slowly you will feel pic go in this is releaseing the lock tab then the lock will slide out, hold in hand and see if it turns freely if not replace it. hope this helps. just did a little research and this applies only to tilt wheel, if you dont have tilt then steering wheel and the plate must be removed here a diagram to show you the pin for a truck without tilt.johnjohn2_31.gif

Need to replace driver side mirror of an 2008 ford fusion, but wanted to know if i could just replace the glass instead of the whole mirror? the glass is the only thing that is actually broke.

You can buy stick on replacement mirror glass for most models in good motor accessory shops. These just stick on to the existing glass if there is enough left to stick it to.
If not the dealer will supply the glass seperately but its a little tricky to fit and might be well worth letting them fit it too as it is very easy to break while fitting.

SLIDING DOOR REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT

I had to remove the inside door panel and drill a hole with a 1 1/4 hole saw where the linkage is at the rear of the door. I actually drilled a second hole to shine light in to see. There is a metal bracket at the back that is bent. I used a long screwdriver to pry and bend it back again. You can release the door using the screwdriver to move that bracket also.

2003 Ford Explorer back door latch will not open

Mine just did the exact same thing. The latch may be moving freely because it is not hooked to the latching mechanism anymore. In my case, the handle had broken where the handle hooks to the rod that operates the mechanism. Go to the Ford dealer and buy a new handle. Here in S.C. it was $24. You can't get this at the parts houses. Start by removing the plastic "Ford" cover that is over the liscense plate lights. You then have to remove the aluminum rivets that hold the handle to the tailgate from the outside and remove the broken latch. Remove the pull handle loop on the interior side of the tailgate (2 screws), unsnap the inside plastic tailgate interior panel, and pull down the black plastic sheeting that is underneath the panel to make access to the mechanism inside of the tailgate. There is also a hard plastic cover that you will see that needs to be pulled loose to open another access hole. Install the new tailgate latch handle by sliding back into the mounting holes and attach with two 10-32 screws and nuts. The new handle will come with a new yellow rod attachment piece on the handle. You will see inside of the tailgate a small rod hanging down, most likeky it will have the same rod attachment piece as the one on the new handle. Note the position of the yellow piece on the rod, as you will connect the new piece in the same place. Once the rod is hooked up, relubricate the metal mechanism with a light machine oil, replace the black plastic cover, replace the black plastic sheeting, (secure with a small amount of duct tape), replace the tailgate interior panel, replace the pull handle loop, shut tailgate, replace "Ford" cover over lights, and you're done!

Replace headlight bulbs

Open the hood. On the top of the headlamp assembly are two 3/8 inch bolts. Remove them. Between the two (down in a hole) is another 3/8 inch bolt; it's very long, as it screws into the bottom of the assembly. Remove it, too. Slide the entire assembly forward. It's tricky because the edges get caught on the surrounding structures, but it will slide out. Remove the round rubber stopper from behind the assembly to expose the lamp. Rotate the lamp slightly and remove it. Carefully lift the retaining clips and slide the lamp off the plug. Be careful not to touch the glass on the replacement lamp; oil from your skin can cause halogen lamps to fail. Slide the new lamp onto the plug until it clicks, then put everything back in reverse order.

I'm in the same boat. We had the rear window replaced by the shop a couple of months ago, but the driver side window is doing the same thing. I don't want to spend another $250 if I can do it myself.
