Drivers side turn signal blinking fast other side normal, bulb change didn't help

Even after bulb change, do all lamps work? Bad ground can be shown by weak or dim bulb sometimes and this can cause fast flashing. All bulbs which flash must be working and of normal brightness which is sometimes hard to tell when they blink really fast.

Turn signal and break light

Make sure all the bulbs are working in the turn signal. Some front turn signals will use two or more bulbs per side. If any one of these bulbs are burned out it will cause the turn signal to flash at a fast rate. It also could be a bad control lighting control switch a.k.a. multi-function switch.

The blinkers on are ford don't work we tried to but in fuses but all the fuses work

If the lights come on but just do not flash, replace the flasher relay. Your Thunderbird has 2 flasher relays. One for the Turn signals and one for the Hazard lights. The turn signal relay is located Front seating area, driver side, under dash, driver side of steering column, mounted in lower corner of fuse block . The hazard relay is located Front seating area, driver side, under dash, driver side of steering column, mounted in rear of fuse block. Replace the one for the Turn Signals. 2000 toyota camry turn signals not working. Fuses check out and bulbs good.

Hi, i recommend testing the switch and flasher module. i will post the testing procedures for both devices. replace the device that is faulty.

To test turn signal switches, use a 12-volt test light to probe for voltage into and out of the switch. The ignition switch must be in the RUN position for the circuit to operate. If voltage is present on the input side of the switch but not on the output side, the switch is faulty.

FLASHER TEST PROCEDURE---
  • A test light can be used to determine which flasher is used for the turn signals and which is used for the hazard warning light.
  • An easier way is to turn on both the directionals and the hazards. This activates both flasher units.
  • By removing one of the flashers, the affected circuit no longer flashes.
  • Therefore, that flash unit controls that particular circuit.
  • If the turn signals fail to operate and the fuse is good, the flasher has probably failed.
  • Occasionally, the flasher does not flash as fast as it once did, or it flashes faster. This is also cause for replacement.
  • If it flashes too slowly or not at all, check for a burned-out bulb first.
the flasher is located in the Front seating area, driver side, driver side of steering column, mounted in corner behind instrument panel

If the turn signals operate properly in one direction but do not flash in the other, the problem is not in the flasher unit. A burned-out lamp filament will not cause enough current to flow to heat the bimetallic strip sufficiently to cause it to open. Thus the lights do not flash. Locate the faulty bulb and replace it.

Replace bulbs as the contacts have melted or corroded and they will cross contact to the running lights that come on with the headlights. Check all.
