Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

You can try pushing the override button located right under headlight dial.

My ac and heater are stuck in defrost and i cant figure out why i turn the dial to vents and heat but it stays in defrost

It all depends on whether your truck is equipped with Automatic Climate Control or Manual HVAC. You could have a broken control head assembly a broken mode door cable, a failed electronic mode door actuator, a broken mode door, or a loose or broken wire or connector.

To put it simply, your mode doors are not swithching modes - the reason for this can vary depending on which system you have.

My 2007 GMC Yukon will not start in cold weather. When I turn the key over the lights/dash controls come on, but the engine does not turn over at all. Nothing. Put a new battery in and still does it. It is a random occurance. Would not start for two days this week so I had it towed to the dealership and the next morning it starts without the service dept doing anything??? Bring it home and two days later it does it again??? Any ideas?

My heater blower in my 95 yukon doesnt work on low , only on the 2 highest settings, and also doesnt blow hot

THE DIOED IN THE FAN SWITCH IS GONE. CHECK VACUUM LINES IN ENGINE BAY FOR LEAKS OR BROKEN CONNECTIONS ON PASSENGER SIDE, THEY FEED ACTUATORS UNDER DASH THAT CONTROL HEATER FUNCTIONS.OR A VACUUM ACTUATOR COULD HAVE FAILED.

97 Volvo S80 heater works but will only come out of dash vents

The heater controls would be the first thing I would check, and then the actuators for the mode door(s) would be the next. There should only be one heater fuse.

HVAC Control Head Mode Dial

It is an entirely mechanical process. As one user put before, you cable is kinked. I have the same problem. The way I see it is that there are 2 options. The first being replace the cable, which I have read will cost you about $90, or $12 plus pulling your dash apart. If you look under your dash, right above your accelerator, there is a wheel type thing that needs to be rotated. If you take a screw driver and push on this and turn the knob at the same time you can shift into the defroster.
